No vermiculite, no spaghum moss, no wood chips... just "micro" perforated bags that I buy at
Albertson's or at a local bakery. I find it easy to check on the tubers EVERY holiday after they
are put to bed. Very few are lost and should one of them begin to rot I pull it out and toss it!
I store the tubers through the winter months in plastic storage
bins, such as shown in these photos. Each time I check
to make sure they aren't rotting, I wipe excess moisture
from the lids and the bin. The tubers are visible--no fuss,
no muss! They stay plump and put on their sprouts.
